Charlene found found a fun otter to play with!!

Maui is Beautiful!!

An extra special blessing on this trip is to be with John’s sisters Janie and Sis!! It has been more than 40 years since we have all been together.

I absolutely love the flowers that grow on Maui. I got up early to catch the morning light on these beautiful flowers.

I loved to watch the people surfing!

The waves were crowded with people!

This woman was very skilled as she moved along the waves!

These flowers are gorgeous!

I love the vibrant colors on Maui!

Texas Flowers

Bluebonnet-3

The bluebonnet flowers are so delicate and beautiful!

Bluebonnet-2

I enjoyed a drive in the Texas hill country and went on a drive from Austin to Marble Falls. I especially enjoyed the spring flowers! The bluebonnet flowers in Texas are quite famous and I loved taking photos of them in different locations. It is tricky to take flower photos on a windy day, but I still had a wonderful time!

Hike in Austin

Austin-1

It was spectacular where the water flowed next to the trail!

Austin-10

There were beautiful spring flowers along the trail.

John and I went on a wonderful hike in Austin. It was a nature trail on the outskirts of the city. We hiked a total of 6 miles through a beautiful area. Someone went through quite a bit of effort to create steps through many sections of the trail. It was great exercise for my legs!

Austin-3

The trail was extremely well maintained and it provided excellent exercise!

Austin-5

We also enjoyed seeing some of the spring flowers and a pond at the end had quite a few turtles swimming around. I loved the section with running water next to the trail.

There were quite a few turtles swimming around in the pond at the end of the trail.

Wildcat Bluff-1

Today was a beautiful day to go on a hike in the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center! The temperature was in the 70s with hardly any wind. It was a gorgeous day!

Wildcat Bluff-9

This lizard patiently waited and posed for his photo!

The unexpected delight was finding a lizard on the top of a post. He patiently waited as I zoomed in and focused on his scales.

I enjoyed taking my camera and it was fun to focus on many of the small flowers opening up for springtime. I need to return and hike on more of the different trails.
