Maui Ocean Center!!

Today we had a wonderful time visiting the Maui Ocean Center!! It was a superb aquarium!!

There were many, many tanks filled with all kinds of fish!! It was fun to learn about some of the fish we had seen when snorkeling a couple of days ago!! I was very impressed with this aquarium!!

They also had all kinds of fish that I had no idea of their name!!

I loved seeing these fish when snorkeling! I loved the stripes and the bright yellow!!

It is amazing to see all the colors and designs of these fish!!

These were some of my favorite fish to see when snorkeling!! I absolutely loved their bright yellow color. They seemed to glow in the water!!

These fish were totally amazing to see when snorkeling!! The orange color near the tail looked like an orange cross when I was swimming above them!! Also, I was amazed at the color of their lips!!

I enjoyed seeing all the different stripes on this fish!!

This guy had an unusual appendage between his eyes!!

This was my favorite seahorse!! I loved to watch him move around the tank!!

I thought this guy was quite ugly! He was brightly colored, but his face was one that “only his mother could love.”

I enjoyed watching this fish move around with his delicate yellow color among his stripes!!

This seahorse seemed very delicate because you could almost see all the way through him!!

Octopus are supposed to be very intelligent, but their suction cups seem very strange to me. Watching this guy attached to the glass of his tank was unusual.

I thought it was fascinating to see the distinct contrast in colors between the black in the front and yellow in the back of this fish!!

These black tipped sharks were interesting to follow as they cruised through the tank. They tended to stay swimming along the top section of the water.

It was interesting to see how the aquarium was growing coral!! I thought the colors of this coral were absolutely amazing!!

It was interesting to watch the sea turtles swim around their tank!! Although they are large, they are remarkable fast when swimming!!

It was very windy when we visited the aquarium!! These flags were whipping around in the breeze!!

I especially liked seeing the jellyfish!! They were amazing to watch as they floated around in their tank!!

I was shocked to see how many jellyfish were in one tank!!

Aloha is a great greeting with the aquarium!!

During the early evening, this is the beautiful sunset we saw from the top floor where we are staying!! Over and over, I kept reflecting on the beauty of Maui!!
